Acquisition that provides critical knowledge to more people on life saving measures
The Norwegian vocational training enterprises Trygg Kurs AS works for a safer workplace and offers its customers certified training courses in how to save lives, providing the industry with protection against fire and other incidents, first aid and much more. Presto has now acquired Scandinavia’s biggest fire protection and vocational training enterprise: the group of Trygg Kurs AS and TK Konsept AS. As such, we are now offering professional training courses geared at fire protection and workplace safety to close to 200,000 people in the Nordic countries. Over several years, Presto has been operating its fire protection operations in Norway, but now it goes one step further to establish itself as a vocational training enterprise in Norway through the acquisition of Trygg Kurs AS.
“At Presto, we help our customers to create safe and secure workplaces, which ultimately will save human lives. We regard the acquisition of Trygg Kurs as a natural development of our Norwegian operations. Together with our customers in Norway, we can now save more lives since we will be operating training courses in fire protection and workplace safety measures for close to 200,000 people across Scandinavia,” says Filip Bjurström, Group CEO of Presto. Trygg Kurs will become Presto’s platform for further development of its vocational training programmes in Norway, whilst Presto has far-reaching plans for more acquisitions in Norway both in the field of workplace training courses and fire protection. Trygg Kurs offers tailored hands-on training courses conducted in classrooms, but it also has a broad range of digital training courses, such as webinars and eLearning. “I am very pleased to see the Trygg companies joining forces with Presto and to participate in the drive to develop the Norwegian market. It allows us to expand our range and reach more potential customers with our training activities, to pass on our knowledge of lifesaving measures and in general work for safer workplaces. Together, we will surely contribute to completely changing the market,” relates Trond Bjelland, CEO and founder of Trygg Kurs. Presto implemented the official take-over of the group on 1 September 2022.
