Presto acquires Finnish Westsafety
Presto is the Nordic region's largest fire protection and safety training company, helping companies create secure environments for people with advice, training, protection products and world-class service.
"Things can happen unexpectedly – a fire breaks out or someone gets hurt. An accident can have devastating consequences for a business, but with the right protection it can be avoided – or dealt with quickly should it occur”, says Filip Bjurström.
Presto’s acquisition of Westsafety, which has offices in Korsholm outside Vaasa and KauhajokIn, further broadens its service and product range in the Nordic region. The company sells and maintains hand fire extinguishers, installs and maintains fire hydrants and offers firefighting and safety training.
Westsafety's founders Esa Karlsson and Jani Pitkämäki, together with the company’s entire workforce, will now transition to the Presto brand.
“We are incredibly happy about this deal – it feels very reassuring to have a strong owner like Presto behind you. Together we can offer our customers a significantly more comprehensive range of security training”, says Esa Karlsson, and adds:
“Safety at the workplace is incredibly important. Quick action, proper equipment and knowledge save lives every year. But preventive work to improve security also results in cost savings. Together with Presto we can save even more lives”.
Presto is represented in all the Nordic countries and employs a total of 900 people.
“Our employees work hard every day to increase safety at workplaces across the Nordic region. We see that awareness of safety is increasing, and that workplace accidents are becoming fewer and fewer. Creating security for employees is something that is being increasingly prioritized, and we are proud to be part of that”, says Filip Bjurström.
