Presto Group acquires leading safety training provider, Kurs og Sikkerhet (KoS), and strengthens presence in the Norwegian market
With over a decade of experience, KoS has established itself as a nationwide training provider and a leader in the education of machine operators, forklift drivers, and crane operators. Their wide range of courses, including those in workplace safety, aquaculture, fire safety, electrical, and automation, have made them a respected partner for both businesses and individuals seeking to enhance their skills in workplace safety and security. Last year, 10,000 students were trained in 50 different courses, spread across 15 main categories.
"We are very excited to continue our growth journey in Norway alongside Kurs og Sikkerhet. By acquiring KoS, one of Norway's leading training providers, we not only expand our offerings to our customers, but we can also fulfill our vision, to save more lives together. We are confident that this acquisition will create value for both our customers and employees," says Line Stemsverk Gundersen , Head of Presto Norway.
"We are very positive about the future together with Presto and our new Norwegian sister companies, Trygg Kurs and Arcos. We are well prepared to accelerate growth and look forward to working together to further strengthen our presence in the market," says Ivar Andre Simonsen, co-founder and majority owner of Kurs og Sikkerhet.
For Presto Group, the acquisition of KoS is strategically important to strengthen its presence in the safety training sector in Norway. The headquarters of KoS will remain in Bodø, and together with Presto's previous acquisitions Trygg Kurs AS and Arcos, the company will be comprehensive in the Norwegian market.
